I trained with the Mongan Hypnobirthing institute. I am a qualified, solution focused, clinical hypnotherapist and psychotherapist and a reiki practitioner. I am fully insured.
Hypnobirthing is a calm, positive and natural approach to childbirth. Hypnobirthing can help you to have a calm relaxed and comfortable birth as nature intended. Hypnobirthing eliminates the fears you may have about childbirth, and it empowers you and your birth companion with the knowledge, tools and support to help you stay calm and confident. When you are calm, your body releases positive hormones which help you to relax, so you and your baby can naturally and beautifully work together and do the job they are designed to do, often removing the need for medical intervention.
These tools also help you to positively deal with whatever turn your birthing will take, helping you to refocus and calmly adjust to changes, so you can have a birth experience that is one to cherish. The use of hypnotherapy in birthing is not a new concept. In fact, it was first introduced by an English obstetrician, Grantley Dick Read, in his work in the 1930s. He went on to publish the book, Childbirth Without Fear in 1942, which become an international bestseller.
You and your birth companion will learn techniques of self hypnosis, which you will be able to call upon to assist you, not only before and during the birth of your baby, but also in the future. These techniques are tools for life. You are preparing for the birth of your baby, which is one of the most amazing and cherished moments of your life. I believe it is truly invaluable to invest time in your mental and physical preparation.
My hypnobirthing course also incorporates breathing techniques, visualisations and light touch massage. It gives your birthing companion the opportunity to be involved and learn how to effectively support you. Together you can share a great connection and bond as you welcome your baby into the world. I believe that every birthing mother and her companion deserve to have a positive birth experience that can be looked back on and treasured. Hypnobirthing will equip you with the knowledge, tools, support and preparation that will help you achieve this goal. Most of my classes are now filled with couples who have heard about hypnobirthing from others, who have done the course and are sharing their positive experiences. Birth can be amazing, it doesn’t have to be something to be feared
I teach Hypnobirthing one-to-one, so the sessions can be tailored to your needs. I am also a qualified hypnotherapist, so any fears, phobias and pre-existing birth trauma can be treated.
Hypnobirthing is taught in a format of five, two hour sessions, this allows the techniques to be thoroughly taught, learned and practiced.

Every year couples pursue treatments with the goal of having a baby. Most will consult conventional doctors and many undergo high tech procedures such as IVF. The success rate for those who undergo these procedures is around 25%. More and more women are seeking out complimentary treatments and hypnotherapy is a powerful mind/body approach. Changing your mindset changes how your body responds. When a woman can attain personal empowerment then she will truly be able to let nature take its course.
Research into conception and hypnotherapy has shown that couples who are worried about conceiving are less likely to conceive than those who are relaxed. Physical and emotional barriers to conception can be dissolved through the process of deep states of relaxation, induced by hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy is a safe and powerful way to increase the possibility of a successful pregnancy, if there is no physical cause of infertility. The psychological causes can be targeted by hypnotherapy and allow the mind/body balance to return to normal.
Sometimes woman can be overwhelmed and have a deep rooted fear about giving birth, hypnotherapy can empower the mother and help her to achieve a gentle, calm birth for her and her baby.
